The project involves the construction of a single-family dwelling in Alpicat, a small municipality in the northeast of the province of Lleida. The growth of the village is creating a new residential fabric across the territory, following the model of a garden city. The aim of the project is to occupy the whole plot by means of a pattern of ceramic brick load-bearing walls in a lengthwise arrangement that extends beyond the limits. This layout fosters the relationship between the house and the street and courtyards, and enhances the intermediate spaces as inhabited intervals.

The idea is to show off the materiality of the project, leaving bare the structure of brick walls, reinforced concrete beams and brick vaults. With the aim of making the structure permeable, some bricks are removed to create a latticework that filters the light and offers privacy, while others are added, emerging from the wall to allow vegetation to grow up the structure. The interior is distributed in the spaces between the walls and laid out around courtyards that offer natural light and cross ventilation.
